Puertos del Estado authorizes the sale of land in El Puerto de Santa María

The Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz has been authorised by the State Ports Governing Council, presided over by Ornella Chacón, to sell by public auction a 113,648.36 m2 plot of land located on the right bank of the mouth of the River Guadalete, next to La Puntilla beach, in El Puerto de Santa María. The plot, which was removed from the port public domain in 2014, has been priced at €7.5 million. Both the Port Authority and the City Council of El Puerto de Santa Maria are interested in the urban development in these lands to ensure its better incorporation into the city and greater defense of the public interest, so both Administrations have signed an agreement for the development and management of these lands, so that the rights and obligations inherent in land ownership can be transferred with the greatest guarantee for the parties. In addition, at the meeting of the Council, held at the headquarters of Puertos del Estado, the president reported on the agreements signed with Adif and the City of Puerto Real for the transfer of municipal land necessary for the construction of the branch of rail access to Bajo de La Cabezuela, as well as the signed with the Port Authority of S.C. de Tenerife for the execution of work associated with Project Samoa 2, oceanography project and personalized meteorology to which the 28 Port Authorities are adhered.
